My first introduction to shiatsu was in Spain in the 1990’s whilst working on a tree planting project to help reclaim dessert. It was one of those times when the world opens up, and I knew from then on that shiatsu would be part of my path.
I graduated from the Shiatsu College UK in 1996 and continued shiatsu post graduate studies in Women’s health with Suzanne Yates at Well Mother. I also qualified as a teacher and eventually went on to teach at the Shiatsu College UK and Well Mother. In 2012 I moved to the USA and set up practice in Missoula, Montana.
Shiatsu practice still holds me after 28 years. That thin space of deep relaxation and intuition, where change becomes more than an idea, a real possibility, a shifting of our deepest patterns, where we as practitioners of shiatsu can open this door, through our touch.
The Shiatsu College Montana is my way of offering an opening into this energetic world for anyone who would like to practice to a professional level.

My initial experience with Chinese medicine was through acupuncture, after many years of chronic pain and disheartening western medical care. I was moved by how my eastern medicine practitioners took the time and care to create space for transformation, found connections between various parts of my body, and integrated my emotional and spiritual wellbeing into my treatment.
I studied acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the National College of National Medicine in Portland, OR. I moved to Missoula in 2017 after graduating and have been in private practice ever since.
this all needs rewriting:
It is rare and precious to find work that feeds your soul and requires you to spend time in a meditative, present, and connected state. It is also rare and precious to be able to facilitate healing and change in those who desire and require it. I am so grateful to practice in the field of eastern medicine and am excited to share knowledge and grow our field as we train new practitioners.
